OUTREACH

SRUSTI started working from Nuapada district of Orissa. It has its locational advantage to impact the lives of poor people living in & around its headquarter at Khariar. It covers parts of Balangir & Kalahandi districts for its field level interventions. It touches more than 2 lakhs family through its multifarious activities.

Advocacy on both policy & implementation gaps have been areas of intervention for us at SRUSTI. As a result, we have taken up many campaigns in Balangir,Kalahandi & Sonepur districts of Orissa. Further, it has taken up many state level rights campaign like Rights of indigenous people of national parks & Wild life sanctuaries. It has been lobbying for better working conditions for ASHA in the state & national level. Forests Rights act, Right to Information , NREGA are its other major campaign areas thereby addressing rights of forest dwellers, labourers & government beneficiaries in many parts of the state.

Being a member of White Ribbon Alliance for safe motherhood , it runs many campaigns to make pregnancy safer. Free & instant Blood transfusion to the poor, birth planning are some its successful interventions.
